Vemma Bode Bento (Week 1)

My life is busy. That I know for sure. My body falls apart if I don't make time to feed it and move it. That I also know for sure.

Each week in 2014 I will be prepping meals for the following 5-6 days so that I can take care of myself. As I am nearing 40, I am realizing that this is super important- I can no longer burn the candle at both ends and expect a positive result. So, I plan ahead, knowing that so many things outside my control will pop up that will prevent me from this important self-care.

turkey & olive tapenade
ham & cream cheese
chicken sausage w/cheese
egg beaters & sausage
burn & pistachios
burn & cheese
burn & veggie chips
egg turkey mcmuffin

chocolate shake

vanilla shake
emergen-c

sparkling water

I'm not super happy with the appearance of the photobucket album, so I ditched it then put it back... I don't like slideshows, and just want the images to be on this post. Ideas? I'm a Wordpress guru converting over to Blogger for the A to Z Challenge. I just want my Wordpress Gallery feature back. What do you use?
Figured out how to create the gallery, but have a minor code glitch in my table(s). Anyone know what to fix to get that one white spot removed? I've compared HTML code segments, and can't seem to find the error. Help?

    1. Thanks, Alex! This is just a way to manage my mom life. :D I assure you my house is not in a similar state of organization.

    1. We go through seasons, don't we? I just happen to be in an "I'm all over it" place right now. Hopefully we encourage each other.

  3. WOW! Super organized when it comes to food. I wish I could do that, but with my schedule, it leaves so much open and I fail every time. What kind of work do you do that you can be super woman and eat like clockwork?!?!

    1. Oh, I'm crazy busy (mom of 4, homeschooling one of them, working part-time in my school district, being a taxi, etc.)... BUT if I don't do this ahead, it costs me much more time during the week. And money. YMMV. I'll time it on Friday and let you know how long it takes me, but I think it's less than an hour, once a week. The eating like clockwork is forced- I hate it, but it's what I need to do to feel good. My default is getting up, running around like a madwoman, and slowing down about 4p and eating my first meal then. Not a good thing for my body, but we are all very different.

      Thanks for stopping by.

  4. Encouraging each other is what it's all about. I was happy to be able to make breakfast for my family on Sunday. I'm recovering from a looooonnnngggg illness, so I haven't been able to be up and about for about two months. The whole plan ahead idea appeals to me very much, but right now, having the energy in one day to cook for 5-6 days is impossible. But you and I both YOU can do it girl! Rock on sister, and thanks for sharing what you made. Ideas of meals is something I'm always looking for!

    1. I bet we can work a deal.... wanna clean my kitchen and I'll pack the food? :D (If you all could only see the state of my dining room and kitchen right now, you would know that I have to pick and choose my priorities- which means sometimes some stuff just goes undone.)
